Ever gone on holiday to the South of France? Hours in the car, endless toll roads, and rising temperatures, only to arrive exhausted at your destination. Roughly a thousand kilometres. Now try to imagine doing this by bike—what an adventure that would be! Let’s take it a step further: on foot! Wouldn’t everyone around you think you’re completely crazy? Now imagine not doing it once, not twice, not ten times, but 40 times! And that, coincidentally, is the circumference of the Earth: 40,075 kilometres!
